Mark V. Lonsdale, Head Coach
Respect is a foundational tenant of Judo and is particularly important in the dojo. One of the worst forms of disrespect in the dojo is when a senior grade or stronger player uses excessive force with a lower grade or weaker player in randori.
This behavior discourages new students resulting in an unnecessary drop-out rate. So coaches and sensei need to be ever watchful for bullying or overly aggressive judoka taking advantage of weaker partners during randori.
